Olives & Bowls was founded by a Dutch-English family who made Catalonia home. We came for the landscape, the culture and the rhythm of life, but we quickly fell in love with something even more meaningful: the way people here welcome others in. A few olives on the table, a beautiful bowl, something prepared with care. Small gestures that say more than words.
And from this comes our core value: the beauty of sharing.
At Olives & Bowls, we select tableware and home pieces that are made to be used, enjoyed and remembered. Objects with character, chosen not only for how they look, but for how they make everyday moments feel. A breakfast bowl on a quiet morning. A colourful plate for a long lunch. A serving dish placed at the centre of the table so everyone can help themselves.
Our first collection brings Bunzlau Castle ceramics to Spain. These handmade and hand-decorated pieces come from a long European ceramic tradition, known for its distinctive patterns, rich colours and remarkable durability. Each piece is practical enough for daily use, yet special enough to bring beauty to the table. They are made to be mixed, collected and combined freely, creating a table that feels personal rather than perfect.
Bunzlau Castle is already loved in many Northern European homes, but it remains relatively unknown in Spain. We saw an opportunity to introduce something different: ceramics that bring together craftsmanship, colour, quality and everyday functionality. Pieces that can move easily from oven to table, from family dinners to celebrations, and from one generation to the next.
Alongside Bunzlau Castle, we have also introduced The Table Amsterdam, a brand with a very different but complementary spirit. Its pieces are handcrafted by artisan communities around the world, with a strong focus on responsible production, fair working conditions and sustainable materials. The design is calm, elegant and timeless, created for those who appreciate simplicity, texture and natural beauty.
Together, these brands reflect what we want Olives & Bowls to become: a carefully curated destination for people who enjoy setting the table with intention. For people who value craftsmanship over mass production. For those who believe that a useful object can also be beautiful, and that the best pieces are the ones that become part of daily life.
We are starting with tableware, ceramics, textiles and thoughtful gift ideas, but this is only the beginning. Our aim is to keep discovering specialist brands with a story to tell, and to bring them closer to homes across Spain.
